Taylor Plumbing Auckland (also trading as Taylor Contractors) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we collect it, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, our enquiry and quote forms, and lead forms we run on advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, Snapchat and TikTok. It is prepared in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Personal information we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- The service address or suburb where the work is needed.
- Details of the job or enquiry you describe to us.
- Preferred contact times and any priority or urgency you select.
- Information about how you use this website, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
- Call metadata from our call tracking system, such as the phone number a caller dials from and the duration of the call.
We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not collect payment card details through this website.
How information is collected
- Directly from you when you call, text, email, or complete a quote or contact form on this website.
- From lead forms operated on advertising platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, Snapchat and TikTok, when you choose to submit one.
- Automatically through your browser when you visit the site, including pages viewed, approximate location, device type and referring source. This is collected with cookies, pixels and similar technologies described below.
- From call tracking when you ring the numbers shown on our advertising.
Why we collect it
We collect personal information so we can respond to your enquiry, quote and book work, complete and warrant the jobs we carry out, keep accurate business records, meet our legal, tax and health and safety obligations, and improve our website and advertising. We only collect what we need for these purposes.
How we use it
- To contact you about your enquiry, arrange quotes and bookings, and complete the work you request.
- To send you confirmation, scheduling and service messages.
- To keep records of work completed, warranties and guarantees.
- To measure the performance of our advertising so we can improve it, for example by linking a form submission to the campaign or platform that brought you to us.
- To keep this website secure and functioning, and to understand how it is used.
Marketing and customer communications
Where you have given us permission, or where the message relates to work you have asked us to do, we may contact you by phone, text or email about your enquiry, booking or job. We may occasionally send service reminders or offers from Taylor Plumbing. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or asking us directly. Choosing not to receive marketing does not affect essential messages about your booking or job.
Lead information received from advertising platforms
When you submit a lead form on Meta, Google, Snapchat, TikTok or another advertising platform, that platform passes your details to us so we can contact you about your enquiry. The platforms' own privacy policies govern how they handle your information on their side. When a lead reaches us, we treat it the same as any other enquiry. We also record the platform, campaign and tracking details that came with the lead, such as UTM parameters and click identifiers, so we can measure which advertising brought you to us.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to run properly, to understand how it is used, and to measure advertising. The main tools we use are:
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, for website usage analytics.
- Google Ads and Microsoft Bing advertising tags, to measure and improve our search advertising.
- The Meta Pixel, to measure Facebook and Instagram advertising.
- TikTok and Snapchat tags, loaded through our tag manager, to measure advertising on those platforms.
- Call tracking technology, to connect calls from our advertising to the campaigns that generated them.
These tools may set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then work less smoothly. Where advertising cookies are concerned, you can also use the opt out tools offered by Google, Meta and your browser.
Service providers we may share data with
We share personal information only with the providers who help us run the business, and only for the purposes above. These currently include:
- Our CRM and messaging platform (LeadConnector / GoHighLevel), which receives enquiry details so we can manage leads, jobs and communications.
- Our website hosting platform, which stores and serves this site and processes form submissions.
- AddressFinder, used in our quote form to help you enter a New Zealand address quickly.
- Analytics and advertising providers named in the cookies section above.
- Call tracking providers for the numbers shown in our advertising.
Some of these providers are based outside New Zealand, so your information may be stored or processed overseas. We only share what each provider needs, and we require them to handle it appropriately. We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information where the law requires or permits it, for example to comply with a court order or to protect someone's safety.
Data storage and security
We store enquiry and job records in our CRM and in our business systems. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections, access limited to team members who need it, and secrets and credentials kept out of public view. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including warranty, tax and record keeping requirements, and then we delete or de-identify it.
Access, correction and deletion requests
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. There is no charge for a reasonable request, and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can. To make a request, email us with the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing information.
